It will take approximately 5 days for TTSI medical transcriptionists and quality assurance specialists to learn the intricacies of a new account. During this time, they learn the dictation style and accent of each doctor who dictates, physician names, institutional names and acronyms, as well as any other specific reference information needed to produce a complete and accurate document.

You can dictate using many methods, such as phone-in dictation, handheld digital recorders, PDA devices, or PC applications which record in a readable PC format. You can submit the dictations via secure FTP (File Transfer Protocols), Dropchute or any of your preferred transcription application service.

Upon our receipt of your dictated files, our experienced transcriptionists transcribe your dictations into text files. The completed dictation usually undergoes two levels of Quality Control audits to produce final text files. The completed file is then available in any word processing format and will be uploaded using your preferred transferring software.

We will be happy to incorporate any standard phrases you routinely use in your dictation.

If desired, our system will send a reminder e-mail every time a new transcription file is ready for you to download.

Our standard rates are computed on the basis of 24-hour TAT. However, you may select TAT as needed, e.g., 48 hours or 8 hours. You may specify different default TAT by report type.

Yes. TAT applies to dictations made on week-ends.

We charge on a per-line basis, at 65-character lines, with major variables being volume and turnaround time.

We adhere to the AAMT standard of one line equating to 65 characters, including spaces. Footnotes, endnotes, headers and footers are considered part of the document and typically counted. There is no charge for page breaks, formatting (bold, underline, indentations, etc.), carriage returns, or spaces on a line without text. Total lines in a document are calculated by the total characters, including spaces, then divided by 65.

Payment can be made by check or wire transfer.
